Wee Forest Folk Miniatures M-109 - Campfire Mouse
This tiny Wee Forest Folk mouse is toasting marshmallows over a campfire. After all, a perfectly toasted marshmallow is a campers dream! Not to be confused with the later Wee Forest Folk piece called Mallowing Out. These two pieces, side-by-side, are a good example of the differences in style and level of detail from the 1980's to the early 2000's. Maybe they should sit together in your miniature display, singing songs and telling stories alongside their campfires! This vintage piece will add depth and interest to a Wee Forest Folk collection, and makes a special gift for anyone that likes to camp, or toast marshmallows. Under a tiny glass cloche, this will be a beautiful way to commemorate a summer at the camp! Includes a Wee Forest Folk box for gifting and storage. Sculpted by Willy Petersen. The Petersen Family have been crafting Wee Forest Folk exquisite miniatures since 1972 right here in the USA. A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
